William IV

OPENED 98 DAYS AGO

Victorian pub and guest house William IV has reopened in Kensal Green after an extensive refurbishment.

Set out to become a local favourite once again, William IV serves classic British fare and local beers in a welcoming setting.

The Spot:

Lending itself well for pretty much any occasion, the ground floor is divided into four separate areas which includes a main bar and dining room, a smaller bar hidden in the back and a private bar for extra-special evenings. But where ever you choose to spend your time, you’ll be surrounded by grand-looking historical features like arched doorways, wood-burning fireplaces and brown leather sofas (looks like we won’t be heading home any time soon).

The Food:

William IV is a traditional pub, so expect all the comforting classics such as beer-battered cod (complete with triple-cooked chips and mushy peas), Cumberland sausage with creamy mash, and slow-roasted lamb shoulder. But there are some on-trend dishes to be found too, including a vegetarian-friendly roast squash with white bean hummus and even a vegan Sunday roast.

The Drinks:

The bar offering revolves around beers and lagers on tap, as well as spirits and wines. If you’re already thinking of dry January, William IV also serves non-alcoholic beers.

William IV - dinner

The Damage:

Snacks start at £3; starters are priced at around £5-£ 7; and mains range between £10.75 and £16.50.

In a Nutshell:

If you live in the area then William IV seems like a solid option for dinner and drinks, and while it looks oh-so cozy inside, we already can’t wait for their Summer House to launch in the spring.
