Vinegar Yard

OPENED 17 DAYS AGO

Vinegar Yard is London’s newest all-day destination for food, drink, shopping and more.

In competition with many other great street food markets in London, Vinegar Yard steps it up a notch showcasing street food traders alongside container pop-up shops, bars and art installations – yet again at London Bridge.

Vinegar Yard - outdoor garden

The Spot:

With The Shard standing in the background, Vinegar Yard features a massive open air garden providing seating for hundreds of hungry Londoners, satiated by a changing line-up of street food, a curated selection of vintage goods (from clothing to homeware to books), and art installations by Joe Rush. There’s even an onsite workshop where you can see Rush and his team work on ‘Stories from the Wasteland’ – an interesting-sounding apocalyptic mechanical sculpture.

The Food:

The main reason you’re here; for your fix of street food. The current line-up includes Baba G’s naanwiches and Indian-inspired burgers (from Million Pound Menu), Nanny Bill’s brilliant gravy-dipped burgers, flame-grilled steaks from Up In My Grill, and ciabattas filled with Italian meats.

Vinegar Yard - outdoor garden with seating

Vinegar Yard has given The Gentlemen Baristas a permanent spot, serving brunch dishes all day including avocado on toast, egg rolls with sausage or potato rosti, and buttered sourdough toast piled with smoky house beans, chorizo and peppers (his name is Cowboy Beans, in case you’re wondering).

The Drinks:

Vinegar Yard is fitted with an open-air bar serving cold beer and a rotating tap from London-born breweries, while The Gentlemen Baristas is your go-to for coffee.

The Damage:

Street food dishes cost no more than £10; brunch dishes range from £3.5 to £8.5.

In a Nutshell:

Because you can’t trust British weather, Vinegar Yard also boasts a large indoor-space so it’s always a good time for street food and some all-round good vibes.
