The Little Yellow Door Notting Hill

OPENED 100 DAYS AGO

The Little Yellow Door returns to Notting Hill.

After starting as a pop-up and launching a sister site in Fulham (The Little Blue Door), The Little Yellow Door finds a permanent home on Notting Hill’s All Saints Road.

The Spot:

Taking inspiration from a fictional group of friends who live together, the space is everything you’d expect from a flatshare situation (though perhaps a little more polished and clean). The Little Yellow Door swings open to a quirky living room filled with mismatched furniture and contrasting colours, while downstairs, The Flatmate’s Den, is where you’ll find the after party fully equipped with games. From backgammon to poker tables and even a music corner with instruments in case you want to show off any secret talents.

The Food:

Prepared in the open plan kitchen, The Little Yellow Door sees a monthly changing menu with two of the flatmates holding a cook off to showcase their national cuisine. Comfort flows through the dishes, including options such as pork belly and peanut bao buns, burgers smothered in Swiss cheese and truffle mayo, toasts topped with steak tartare, as well as Sunday roasts ready to cure hangovers from hell.

The Drinks:

Flick through the photo albums and find cocktails served with fun surprises, all named after the flatmates’ DVD collection (yep, we’re starting to feel old in this Netflix-and-chill era). Try Kill Bill, a mix of earl grey-infused Bombay Sapphire Gin, lemon curd and thyme, or James and the Giant Peach made with bacardi-spiced rum, orange blossom and of course, peach.

The Damage:

Dishes range between £5.50 and £15; cocktails are priced at around £7-£9.50.

The Little Yellow Door - cocktails

In a Nutshell:

Mimicking a typical London home with the added bonus of endless cocktails and standout food, The Little Yellow Door delivers all the essentials for a great night in, without you having to clear up the mess afterwards. And on the weekends, expect brunch to be bottomless and just as brilliant as every other night of the week.
