The Belrose

OPENED 140 DAYS AGO

Belsize Park welcomes a new pub with an on-site microbrewery, The Belrose.

Aiming to be a modern version of a British pub, The Belrose offers house IPAs made in their on-site microbrewery and an all-day menu with Italian dishes. Will The Belrose make it onto our guide to London’s best pub food?

The Spot:

The Belrose combines a modern design with a rustic feel, featuring marble tabletops and reclaimed wood, exposed brick and concrete paneling, as well as a south-facing garden for those never-ending summer nights, and warm mulled drinks come winter. The dining room revolves around the open kitchen, where an oven works its magic on Roman-style pizzas.

The Food:

Sitting on top of a crispy and thin crust, you’ll find classic combinations such as spicy Calabrian sausage and chilli, parma ham and mushrooms, or black truffle and mozzarella. Besides pizza, The Belrose serves pastas and Italian nibbles to share, including burrata with pink grapefruit; Sicilian tomatoes in basil yoghurt; and beef carpaccio. For dessert, look no further than the Nutella calzone with pistachio ice cream.

The Drinks:

Drinks aren’t just limited to Italian favourites such as Moretti; The Belrose serves everything from Spanish wine to imported beers and cocktails. But of course, you can’t leave without trying their signature Belrose IPA.

The Damage:

Pizzas cost around £9-£18; small dishes vary between £4 and £8.
