Sticks’n’Sushi Chelsea

OPENED 15 DAYS AGO

Copenhagen-born concept Sticks’n’Sushi arrives in Chelsea.

The Danish group might have countless restaurants in Europe’s major dining cities, Sticks’n’Sushi Chelsea is their largest restaurant to date.

The Spot:

Located on the bustling King’s Road in Chelsea, the newest Sticks’n’Sushi is spread across three floors, each with its own distinctive identity. And with Copenhagen architects NORM behind the project, that means an effortlessly stylish Scandinavian-style look: neutral colours, light wooden furnishings and lots of natural light. But the star of the show-stopping design is the open kitchen island, which is visible from everywhere in the main dining room.

The Food:

Just like the other Sticks’n’Sushi locations, the menu consists of sushi and grilled yakitori. You can either be the master of your own meal and dine à la carte, or opt for their wittily named combination platters like Four Meal Drive and Pay Day. And in keeping with today’s trends, Sticks’n’Sushi dedicates a whole section to vegetarian and vegan options.

The Drinks:

The drinks menu is definitely strong (no pun intended). Stick’n’Sushi offers a never-ending selection of Japanese spirits, botanical cocktails and sake. We recommend the Kikisake Set, which is a great way to sample a variety of sake and compare them side-by-side (all in the name of research, of course).

The Damage:

À la carte offerings cost anything between £3 and £40, while combinations platters are priced at around £20-£48.

In a Nutshell:

Sticks’n’Sushi brings together the best of both worlds: Japanese cuisine in a Copenhagen-style setting – right here in London.
