Rooftop bar Savage Garden arrives in Tower Hill.

Located on the 12th floor of the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel London, Savage Garden takes over rooftop bar SkyLounge, aiming to bring a different kind of experience to London’s rooftop scene.

Savage Garden - interior

The Spot:

Giving the space a whole new look, Savage Garden has brought in Grapes Design to create an urban looking rooftop bar. Taking inspiration from the city, the rooftop boasts hard materials such as stone and metal throughout the space, while the graffiti wall and vibrant coloured furnishings counterbalance its cold features. But the best part is outside; the wittily named Wildside terrace gives you great views of the city, overlooking London’s iconic landmarks such as Tower Bridge and The Gherkin.

The Food:

Living up to its name, the food is far from average and very savage. The menu includes experimental dishes such as charcoal bun beef sliders; pork tomahawk with black pudding fries; and coconut beef short ribs. If you’ve brought your hungry friends, Savage Garden also offers “feasting savagery” options for four, divided into carnivorous, pescatarian and vegetarian.

The Drinks:

Helmed by mixologist André Cavalheiro, drinks are just as experimental as the dishes. Examples include the “Horny Beast”, a gin and rum-based cocktail with cinnamon soda and rhubarb, “Savage Spritz” crowned with Ayala Champagne, and “Wild Poison” with Merlet apricot brandy and smoked pine syrup.

The Damage:

Cocktails are around £14-£18; dishes vary between £6 and £25 (excluding the sharing options).

With a retractable roof, Savage Garden is ready to be a rooftop destination all year round, from al fresco dining and sunset cocktails to cozy dinner dates come winter.
