Salt and Pickle

OPENED 94 DAYS AGO

Salt and Pickle is a restaurant and deli specialising in pickled and cured foods, open in Crystal Palace.

The restaurant combines their own preserves with locally produced food and drinks.

Salt and Pickle

The Spot:

Salt and Pickle is located in the Crystal Triangle, which refers to a bustling area, full of gastropubs, independent shops and restaurants. The decor inside is that of a smart cafe – minimal, light and modern.

There’s room for 30 diners, with a further 10 seats at the counter, right in front of the action. Come on, this is 2017 – there has to be some counter seating…

The Food:

There’s a huge focus on their own cured foods and preserves, such as their house-made treacle cured salmon and pastrami. There’s also a selection of beautiful cheeses to eat alongside pickles and we’re looking forward to seeing what they come up with in collaboration with other local producers.

The Drinks:

The list here focuses on small producers, and there’s a continuing local focus with the beer, which comes from Gypsy Hill Brewery just down the road.

In a Nutshell:

The food scene in Crystal Palace is really hotting up, with lots of independent restaurants and delis to try. What’s more, there’s a fantastic view over London to gawp at when you’re done.
