Rotate

OPENED 134 DAYS AGO

Shoreditch welcomes a new day-and-night destination, Rotate.

Fulfilling many different roles, Rotate is a coffee shop, co-working space and cycling shop by day, and cocktail bar with DJ sessions by night – all while playing host to a rotating selection of food and drink vendors. Ah, it’s all in the name.

The Spot:

Founded by friends James Stell and Robyn Llewellyn, Rotate is the result of having more than one passion. The space, situated on Shoreditch’s Rivington Street, is split across two floors with the ground floor featuring communal tables, a long bar and cycling equipment, while the basement is your go-to spot for music and mouthwatering meals.

The Food:

Bringing you a rotating line-up of London newcomers, Rotate starts with Asian-fusion street food brand Tiger Bites with a menu of bao buns, bowls and sides. Fluffy buns come wrapped around fried chicken or vegan chick’n, served in four varieties: a fiery Kung Fu Panda (siracha mayonnaise, mustard pickles, siracha sauce and chillies), the Peanut Butter & Jelly (coconut satay sauce and sweet chilli jam), the Buff Chick (complete with blue cheese sauce), and the wittily-named Katsu Outside, How Bao Dat? (dipped in warm katsu curry sauce with pickled ginger).

The Drinks:

Suiting everyone’s needs, Rotate offers everything from coffee to craft beers (including vegan options) to cocktails and wines. Of course, there are specials on a rotating basis, but for now, expect a cucumber and jalapeño Caipirinha, blood orange Margarita, and espresso Martini made with Ozone coffee.

The Damage:

Prices vary per food and drink takeover.

In a Nutshell:

If you’re part of a big group of friends and picking a venue seems an impossible task, Rotate might just be your best bet.

For their soft launch, Rotate is offering one complimentary bao bun and one boozy drink of choice on Friday 15th of February (offer is applicable from 5pm to the first 100 guests).
