LINO

OPENED 22 DAYS AGO

The City welcomes a new all-day restaurant and bar: LINO.

Brought to you by chef Richard Falk (formerly of The Diary) together with the Wright & Bell team, LINO takes a mindful approach to its menu.

LINO - vegetables with dip

The Spot:

That means everything is made in-house, from morning pastries to your midnight fix of croissant-infused ice cream(!) and charcuterie boards – all made with low-waste ingredients. The team have even thought about LINO’s design: a clover-shaped, tulip-wood bar is their work of art, complemented by shades of peach and pink throughout the space.

The Food:

Ideal for sharing (or perhaps not), the menu includes grilled mackerel (served with oyster mayonnaise), burrata sprinkled with hazelnut dukkah, and aged-beef tartare (accompanied by a smoked duck egg). Chef Falk’s creativity continues to shine through in the larger plates, offering lasagne made with pumpkin and Jerusalem artichoke, or a baked-to-order oxtail and potato hot pot decked with Brussel tops.

LINO - cocktail

The Drinks:

Drinks follow suit, using homemade botanical infusions and leftover ingredients from the kitchen. Specifics are yet to be announced, but expect updated takes on kitsch cocktails such as the Snowball.

The Damage:

Small plates cost around £7-£12; large plates vary between £14 and £24.

LINO - dish

In a Nutshell:

LINO might be highlighting dinner for their opening, but we think breakfast is just as noteworthy. That’s when you’ll find pastries swirled with apple-caramel sauce, cheese and salami croissants, or pancakes served with vanilla mascarpone…
