We know you love nothing better than a brilliant brunch. Well luckily we’ve discovered insider knowledge on a very special one heading your way. Our friends at Grey Goose vodka are hosting a unique culinary sensation event on the 12th August at Carousel in Marylebone.

What happens when you add together a mix of the most innovative foodie venues, talented supper club gurus, cocktail magicians and a pour of the finest vodka? Quite simply a brunch like no other.

Grey Goose is all about crafting the very best taste which got them thinking. How can brunch be taken to a whole new level? Well we think they might have just cracked it. How? It’s all about you.

Enter culinary star Anna Barnett and mixology maestro Dan Berger, famed for his creations at newly opened The Ned. Pairing food with its made-to-match drinking partner isn’t as easy it seems but when it works it’s a 2 + 2 = 5 situation. So the Grey Goose team have called in the experts and gone all out to help you hone your very own taste preferences. Say hello to a new understanding of what really gets your palette going!

Anna and Dan have worked with the Grey Goose team to explore how their signature cocktail, Le Grand Fizz works with an individual’s favourite brunch dish. Get ready to understand the flavours you most crave as your tastebuds examine the 5 palette profiles: sweet, sour, savoury, bitter and umami.

Upon arrival, guests are welcomed with a cocktail and inventive canapés representing each of the diverse flavour profiles. Our favourites include the truffled mushroom profiteroles and cinnamon and vanilla creme filo cups. After tasting your way through these delicious creations you’ll have new found knowledge on your own distinctive taste.

Time to head to the bar. Feeling that zesty green juice vibe? The bespoke sour fizz is a veritable garden of cucumber, mint, lime, matcha tea, sherry and of course, Grey Goose. Or perhaps something with a salty edge is more your thing and there’s a great option which includes lemon, turmeric, smoked salt, peach liqueur and vodka. With sweet, umami and bitter options too, your particular tastes really do lead the way. And Anna will be on hand to match your drink of choice to the kaleidoscopic buffet of fresh fruits, herbs, relishes, salads and charcuterie alongside fluffy French Toast.

Settling down in Carousel’s airy dining room, you can immerse yourself in the tastes that truly distinguish you. The finishing culinary touch? A floor to ceiling wall of live herbs ready to garnish your plate.
