OPENED 279 DAYS AGO

Brother Marcus opens a second site in Angel.

After making our brunch dreams come true at the original location in Balham, Brother Marcus has launched a bigger brother, complete with a brand new evening menu.

The Spot:

Yes, you’ll now be able to enjoy cocktails from morning to night at the new Brother Marcus, located just steps away from Angel station. Similar to the original location, the space combines warm wooden furnishings with industrial elements, while a semi-private dining room is available for special bookings.

The Food:

Taking inspiration from dishes in Crete, the evening menu marries traditional Mediterranean cuisine with Brother Marcus’ contemporary approach. Designed for sharing, options include fried feta with honey, courgette flower with goats curd and chargrilled aubergine with lemon zest tahini. While the menu focuses strongly on vegetarian and vegan dishes, you’ll also find options such as cracked pork belly with date glaze, apple labneh and walnuts. Whatever you order, save room for the sticky toffee and Metaxo pudding with cream…

Brother Marcus Angel - sister special

For brunch, you will still find Brother Marcus’ beloved dishes, including the sweet potato, courgette and feta fritters (the Step Sister); Cajun cauliflower with beetroot hummus on toast (the Yummy Mummy), and a pork belly pitta (Bob’s your Uncle). If only all family members were that nice…

The Drinks:

Following suit with the dishes, the cocktail menu highlights Mediterranean ingredients. Think the “Balkan Whip”, made with whiskey, ouzo, red apple and egg white, or the “Smoke and Honey” with mezcal, lime and Greek honey water.
