antica-pizzeria-da-michele

L’Antica Pizzeria da Michele. Ben and Matt say, Straight from Naples and with quite the reputation, they only have two choices on the menu: Margherita or Marinara. Simplicity and quality is their thing. It’s great value and a five-minute walk from Perilla so always handy after a long shift.’

xian-impression-noodles

Xi’an Impression. Ben and Matt say, ‘They serve real Chinese street food like big bowls of noodles they make fresh in-house every day – the Bang bang noodles are an absolute must.’

Xi’an Impression, 117 Benwell Road, N7 7BW

diyarbakir-kitchen-kebab

Diyarbakir Kitchen. Ben and Matt say, ‘One of our all-time favourite restaurants, serving real home-cooked Turkish food. Their breads are out of this world – all the juice and fat from the lamb grill is dripped over, so you get the most amazing flavour.’

Diyarbakir Kitchen, 52–53 Green Lanes, Grand Parade, N4 1AG

song-que-cafe-noodles

Sông Quê Café. Ben and Matt say, ‘I mean, who doesn’t love a big bowl of pho? Everything is good here but the stir-fried beef with white noodles is our go-to.’

Sông Quê Café, 134 Kingsland Road, E2 8DY

smoking-goat-shoreditch-2

Smoking Goat. Ben and Matt say, ‘Matt worked doors down from the previous Smoking Goat when it was in Soho, so it’s always been a favourite. Now it’s moved to Shoreditch, it’s just another reason for us to visit! Go for the D’tom Yam broth with mussels and velvet crabs.’

Smoking Goat, 64 Shoreditch High Street, E1 6JJ

JO London – London doesn’t solely revolve around Hipster East and North (East). Granted there’s a lot going on in these areas and that’s great but London is a huge place with many other locations/places to eat and drink. The content on your site generally is really good but a lot of the features purely seem to focus on places inhabited by our bearded, skinny jean wearing, fixie riding friends! Maybe be a little more inclusive.

Absolutely AGREE. I am 65 this year, whilst I am NOT a ‘foodie’ – I LOVE MY FOOD.

Always a put-off when, as JO London states (above), tend to be/think they are trendy etc. etc..

Let the food do the talking, and guess what, Like sleeping – WE ALL HAVE TO EAT!.

    – well done JO London.
