Bar Termini Centrale

OPENED 157 DAYS AGO

Bar Termini Centrale is the second Bar Termini from Tony Conigliaro, open in Marylebone.

Drinks man Tony has joined with coffee guy Marco Arrigo to open this bar which serves cocktails, coffee and small plates, open all day and evening.

The Spot:

Styling is inspired by the old train station cafes of Italy, and it’s much larger than the original Soho site, with room for 40 people inside and 20 outside on the terrace. There’s also a breakfast hatch, open from 8am, dispensing coffees and pastries to commuters.

Charcuterie and Negroni at Bar Termini

The Food:

A concise selection of small plates has an Italian focus, so think beef carpaccio, a selection of Italian cheeses and charcuterie. There’s more of a focus on food here than at the Soho branch, with an expanded menu including panzerotti, which is like a mini calzone that’s fried, not baked. They also serve substantial salads, including one we have our eye on, incorporating octopus and potatoes.

The Drinks:

The original Bar Termini in Soho won awards, so the drinks here are fairly serious. Conigliaro is famous for his aged negronis, which are slow cooked sous vide then bottled, mimicking the slow ageing of a cocktail; they’re definitely one to tick off the list and you can also buy the Classico Negroni bottle to take home.

Other familiar drinks are available too, such as the Spritz Termini, with gin, rhubarb cordial, Prosecco and Aperol – a perfect drink for summer, and there are some brand new additions exclusive to this site, including an olive Bellini and bergamot Negroni.

Negronis Bar Termini

The Damage:

Prices are reasonable for good quality cocktails in London, with Negronis priced at £7 and all other cocktails at £9.50. Food ranges from £4 for a panino to £8 for a small plate.

In a Nutshell:

This new cocktail bar from the award-winning Conigliaro is sure to be a popular spot, particularly since it’s only a stone’s throw from Oxford Street, perfect for a spot of pre or post-shopping refreshment.
