The Prince of Wales

OPENED 1348 DAYS AGO

The Prince of Wales, formerly known as the Lambeth, formerly known as The Prince pub and Brixton Clubhouse, reopens its doors today to the backdrop of a new menu and a new look. The POW now embodies three venues: the pub, the club, and the roof terrace and they intend to put these to good use.

First of all there’s the culinary takeover of Saltoun Supper Club’s Arno Maasdorp, who reinvented the menu French and American brasserie-style. This means oysters and sea bass ceviche, but also steak frites and buffalo burgers. There’s a brunch and a food menu, both with daily specials and plenty of vegetarian options. The interior is enriched with a wood-fired pizza oven, and every Tuesday you can have a pizza and a pint for £10.

The makeover hasn’t slowed down the full program of events and entertainment; pongathon (ping pong & pizza) is hosted upstairs monthly, there are regular comedy, live music and club nights, and every Friday and Saturday there are DJs on rotation in the pub spinning until 2AM, matched with Salsa classes and Club Combo every Wednesday until midnight in the club.
