Patty & Bun Notting Hill

OPENED 244 DAYS AGO

Popular burger flippers Patty & Bun open a new site out west, in Notting Hill.

This is their first opening in west London, where they’re serving all the established favourites plus a special new dish, exclusive to Notting Hill.

The Spot:

The Pembridge Road site covers the whole ground floor, seating 6o, with a large bookable table out back for groups and parties. They’ve also ticked a 2017 trend box by creating 8 counter-dining spots where you can watch the chefs at work and soak up the buzz of the kitchen.

The Food:

Patty & Bun is famous for the ‘Ari Gold’ cheeseburger, which is made with a classic burger foundation (patty, cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickles, ketchup), plus their smokey P&B mayo. There’s also the Smokey Robinson (with the addition of bacon and caramelised onions) and the Lambshank Redemption, which is – you’ve guessed it – made with lamb, plus buttermilk courgettes, pickled aubergine, cumin aioli and feta.

There’s also a new dish, just for Notting Hill. The Chicken Feast is basically a collection of all their fried chicken, served on one big plate with sauces and pickles on the side. Ideal for sharing. Or hangovers.

The Drinks:

There is a decent cocktail and beer selection, similar to their Richmond Road site, and they’ve also come up with an extended selection of milkshakes, including flavours such as lemon cheesecake, triple chocolate and peanut butter malt. We’re already tempted to try mixing those last two into an uber-shake.

The Damage:

Burgers are all priced at just under the £10 mark, with sides £3 – £6.50. Drinks could come in at either end of the scale; stick to beers and save some money or get involved with the cocktails, which will set you back around the same amount as a burger.

In a Nutshell:

This much-loved burger joint is sure to be well-received out west. Wear your baggiest trousers.
