Mimi’s Soho

OPENED 332 DAYS AGO

Mimi’s Soho is a new hotel in the heart of London that emphasizes high-end, bohemian design and compact living.

Lutz Strangemann, founder of a real estate company that also owns four boutique hotels in Berlin, is behind the opening of Mimi’s Soho.

What and Where?

Located on Frith Street, Mimi’s Soho has 58 rooms in four sizes, ranging from 7m² to 20m². Eclectic and stylish, these compact spaces offer something a little different from the typical hotel. The rooms are noise insulated and equipped with floor heating; the bathrooms have pressurised rain showers and are decked out with marble and glass.

The building has six floors and its Victorian facade has been updated for a more contemporary, but still ornate, look.

Why?

This project balances comfort and concept. It offers a unique experience without sacrificing the luxury most people expect from boutique hotels at the heart of big cities. Most importantly, its location puts it within walking distance of Central London’s top restaurants and entertainment. Both Lobos Soho and Koya Bar are nearby on Frith Street. For those wanting to see the best of London, Mimi’s Soho makes an excellent home base.

Try the…

Henson’s Bar & Social is located on the ground floor of Mimi’s Soho, and it’s not just open to hotel guests – anyone can stop in. It serves as a meeting space during the day and even offers a light breakfast of pastries, granola, coffee and the like. In the evening, it’s an intimate cocktail bar with an extensive menu of creative, handcrafted drinks. The oak flooring and fireplace give the space a sense of understated opulence, and work by artists like Andy Warhol and Picasso adorn the walls.

How much will it cost?

Staying at Mimi’s Soho will set you back £150 to £300.

In their own words…

Creative, eclectic, unusual and fun, this enchanting urban hideaway is brimming with character and charm. A mixture of ornate windowless rooms and more traditional suites, the design is opulent with a strong boudoir flavour interpreted with a contemporary touch.

In our words…

Proving that size doesn’t matter after all, Mimi’s Soho challenges ideas of what compact living can and should be. It’s centrally located in one of the most exciting parts of London, and was designed with beauty, luxury and innovation in mind. The bar doesn’t disappoint in terms of either drinks or social atmosphere. The distinct character of this hotel sets it apart from the competition.
