Lundenwic

OPENED August 07th, 2015

At the helm of Lundenwic you’ll find Dominic Hamdy and Oliver Hiam; entrepreneurs, university friends and founders of artisan scotch egg company Scotchtails. Inspired by the style and aesthetics of the Nordic cafes they discovered during a trip to Copenhagen, the duo wanted to replicate the Scandinavian philosophy of minimalism and functionality, along with quality food and speciality coffee, back here in London.

The menus are creative with a focus on origin of ingredients. For breakfast choose from porridge or pastries, and after midday there are salads, sandwiches and toasties galore. The coffee is by Workshop and there will be a monthly-changing guest espresso to keep things interesting – all engineered by resident  coffee expert Stan Przemek. Absolutely no excuses, then, for grabbing an [insert generic coffee chain here] – workers of Covent Garden, are you listening!?

What’s close: Cafe Murano Covent Garden
